A Link Across Time - Pitch Banner

A little sprite project, just for fun.  I honestly don't expect this to go much further, but this would've been an idea for a fan-made Zelda game.  I only put effort in the character sprites themselves...  Lame background is lame.
Hyrule Warriors being released - and yes, I was able to play a little bit a LOT of it, thanks to a friend of mine who got a copy of it - kinda knocked the chances of this out, since the storyline was pretty much related.  With some very obvious Chrono Trigger-themed elements, this game would've basically been spanning the Zelda timeline and having Link, teamed up with allies from across the ages, as well as past and future versions of himself(!), taking down a foe that threatens to destroy the very fabric of time itself. In Hyrule.

These sprites above basically show off the seven 'Link's of the eras, going from left to right:
Hylia's Chosen Hero, from the age of the Ancient Past, where a goddess and a Demon King fight for the survival of the human race...
(Sir/Lord) Raven, from the age of the Past, where magic reigns supreme while a tribe of sorcerers and witches sweep the land...
Young Link, from the age of the Child Present, where civil war looms just over the horizon, and where the story begins...
The Spirit of the Hero, from the Timeless Realm, who learns how to travel through time among his many different incarnations...
Mature Link, from the age of the Adult Present, where a dark army marches on Hyrule and a sacred door is opened...
Ralph, from the age of the Future, where an industrial boom brings Hyrule to a very modern-looking age as the magic in the world wanes...
Kasuto, from the age of the Far Future, where the future is a dystopic cyber-world and legends have been forgotten...

Six physical ages, and the actions of the past affect the future versions of Link, Hyrule, and other things.  For instance, maybe a set of events in the Future will affect whether or not Kasuto is a minion in the foe's army or a lone survivor of an apocalypse or a leader in the resistance. Who the heck knows.

Of course, Link doesn't go alone this time.  He'll have allied of other species across the ages, like Kyri the Companion Fairy and a young dragon that hatches in his care.  I mentioned Epona already, but also a Fokka Warrior (from Zelda II: The Adventure of Link) named Roam, and there'd be a few other allies that may come and go as the story progresses, each from a different age.  Meh, I didn't go too much into those.

And yes, I did make references to the mangas and comics.  Because "canon" doesn't matter in an alternate universe, son.
